Water Saving Device

Have you ever thought about how much water is flushed down the toilet?

A lot!

There is a simple device called a Cistern Displacement Device (CDD)

Quite simply, It's a bag filled with crystals which you easily place into your cistern (toilet tank). The crystals will then expand to save 1.2 litres of water every time you flush. Suitable for toilets with a handle cistern 7.5 litres or more capacity (not the dual flush button type). This will save approximately 5000 litres of water a year.

Older toilets have a greater capacity flush than the newer push button type.

Toilets use about 30% of all the water in the home.

There are around 45 million toilets in UK homes, using an estimated two billion litres of fresh water every day. Water is a precious resource and we need to preserve it.

Water is important to our health and this is why....

It flushes out waste from your body.

It regulates your body temperature.

Helps your brain function.

It creates saliva.

Protects your spine, tissues and joints.

Helps maximize physical performance.

Helps prevent constipation.

Aids in digestion.

Helps with nutrient absorption.

HELPS YOU LOSE WEIGHT!

It improves your blood oxygen levels and circulation.

Helps fight illness.

Helps boot energy.

Helps keep your skin healthy.

Prevents dehydration.

There are many more!

Did you know by saving water you are saving energy! That is correct, the water company has to pump water (electrical consumption) in addition it takes energy to treat waste water.

So we know we need water, why are we wasting it by flushing it away?

You can get a CDD free of charge from most Water companies.
